Ingredients (makes 2)
- Single Classic Liège Belgian waffle
- 1 Package French Toast Sugar
- 2 Medium frozen bananas (sliced and frozen at least 1 1/2 hours)
- ¼ Cup Old Fashioned oats
- 1 Tablespoon almond butter
- ¼ Cup milk of almond milk
- ¼ Cup espresso
- ½ Teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 Tablespoon maple syrup
- 1/2 Fresh lemon for rimming glass
- 1 Fresh strawberry, cut in half, for garnish
- 1 Cup ice
Directions
- Thaw 1 Classic Liège Belgian waffle, cut into cubes, and place on skewers for garnish. Set aside.
- Place bananas, oats, almond butter, almond milk, espresso, vanilla extract, and maple syrup in a blender.
- Blend on high until a smooth consistency is achieved.
- Juice 1/2 lemon and pour the lemon juice onto a small plate. Take your glasses and dip them into the lemon juice. Gently shake the glass.
- While the lemon juice is still moist, rim the glasses with French Toast Sugar.
- Pour in smoothie.
- Garnish with a skewer made of waffle cube and strawberry.
