Strawberry Balsamic Goat Cheese Dip with Pretzel Chips

Strawberry Balsamic Goat Cheese Dip with Pretzel Chips
  • Turnbuckle Soft Pretzel Sticks 6
  • Strawberry Sugar 1 Teaspoon
  • Classic Pretzel Salt 1 tsp
  • Goat cheese 14 Ounces
  • Honey 2 Tablespoons
  • Balsamic vinegar ⅓ Cup
  • Granulated sugar 2 ½ Tablespoon
  • Strawberries, hulled and chopped 12 Ounces
  • Basil leaves for garnish 1 Bunch
  • 1.

    Preheat oven to 425 degrees. If frozen, thaw SlidePiece Soft Pretzel Buns.

  • 2.

    Cut thawed SlidePieces into 4 slices (approximately 1/4 inch thick).

  • 3.

    Place SlidePiece slices on a baking sheet, brush with melted butter, and sprinkle some with Classic Pretzel Salt and some with Strawberry Sugar.

  • 4.

    Bake for 3-5 minutes or until crispy. Remove and let cool.

  • 5.

    Meanwhile, combine goat cheese, cream cheese, and honey in a food processor and process until fluffy and smooth. Grease a small baking dish with olive oil and scrape in goat cheese mixture. Using a spoon, smooth goat cheese into an even layer.

  • 6.

    In a small saucepan, combine balsamic vinegar and sugar over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until vinegar is slightly syrupy and coats the back of a spoon, about 10 minutes. Let cool.

  • 7.

    Place goat cheese dip in the oven and bake until lightly browned on top, 10-12 minutes.

  • 8.

    Stir together strawberries and basil in a small bowl. Spoon berries on top of the baked goat cheese dip. Drizzle the balsamic reduction on top.

  • 9.

    Serve with SlidePiece pretzel chips.

Italian Baked Cheese Dip

Instructions: Preheat oven to 400°F. Coat small (about 2½ cup) oven-proof baking dish with cooking spray. Beat cream cheese in a large bowl with electric mixer until light and airy, about 2 minutes. Add 1/2 cup ricotta cheese and beat for a minute. Add White Cheddar Cheese Sauce and beat for another minute. Add 4 teaspoons of basil, pepper and salt. Add 1 cup of cheddar and breadcrumbs. Beat until blended. Spread mixture in prepared dish. Top with remaining ¼ cup of cheddar. Bake for 15 to 17 minutes or until heated through but not bubbling. Serve warm, topped with tomatoes, red onions and remaining basil. Heat pretzels as directed and ENJOY!
